![]() ![]() ![]() I feel they suctioned just as well as the bottles and flanges I was using that came with my pump. I just tried out these cups! They’re not hard to clean and sanitize, and not too hard to assemble! I also didn’t have an issue with milk spillage like some comments mentioned when I opened them up because I was careful with the lids. Just overall very frustrating, which is what led me to look for a solution. Or if I had visitors, I was either isolated in my room alone to pump or I was trying to keep covered with a nursing cover. And I didn’t at least have free hands to use my phone or anything, so most of the time I was just staring into space waiting for my time to be done pumping. It was driving me crazy that I was having to sit there holding bottles while pumping while everyone else got to care for my baby or take care of tasks I wanted to handle myself. I am exclusively pumping, which means several hours worth of pumping per day to build up and keep up supply. I ended up ordering 4 sets on the spectra official site since shipping is $15 each time.Ĭonsidering how often I pump and how much it bothers me to have my baby kicking the traditional pump bottles once I found the replacement valves I gravitate towards these every time. They are much smaller then spectra’s standard valves and all knock offs I tried from amazon didn’t work. Valves were difficult to find to replace worn out ones. I ended up getting flange adapters to 21mm. My baby can’t kick at it while nursing on the other side (probably key to why I deal with some of the cons)Ĭons would be the flange size is way way way to large even though I got the 24mm size. Relatively easy to use, for me they don’t seems to have too many parts. What I like about these are even though I’m large chested (G36) they fit in a soft nursing bra (occasionally I have used them with an under wire nursing bra and didn’t see too much supply difference) i like that they hold a lot of milk 6oz easy maybe up to 8oz if your pushing it. Also this is my third nursing/pumping experience. I have a spectra S2- I tend to over produce & I donate a lot of extra milk so I use the pump several times a day. I interchange them with the traditional pump set up but they are my favorite. It’s not perfect- but it works for me and although i rate it s 3/5… it’s a 10/10 for my life. But eventually, you figure out how much you get just by visuals. I believe they could have made this product better, like easier to use, perhaps less messy and with measurements of milk too because you don’t know how much u have until you pour it out. many parts to clean post pump which is quite annoying at 4am- but not annoying enough that would make me not recommend product.Īlthough there are more cons on the list, they’re mostly minor in comparison to what you get in the pros. if you need to compress or massage breasts during pump it’s a little more difficult ![]() at times, the suction will work but again if things aren’t perfectly aligned, it will affect your output learning curve : everything needs to be placed in alignment or else the suction / pump will not work. on that note when opening the cups, u may have spillage until u get the hang of it. But for me, it’s not too much a big deal since I’m constantly cleaning anyways. This makes cleaning up a little messier because milk will get on counters and your hands. messy: everything gets milk on it, unlike the traditional method. overall more convenient in most aspects of daily life. ![]() more socially comfortable pumping around other, easy to travel with. convenient/ easier to move around and tend to baby My output has been overall the same as an exclusive pumper, who pumps about 30m a session, and around 7-8 times a day. But, it’s not without its flaws and might not be for everyone. I personally love the cups in comparison to the bottles. ![]()
