I’m sure there are a load of other improvements which you can read about here if you wish, including a surprisingly useful Welcome Screen. Patch an LFO or other modulators to port A or B and then choose how much of any or all parameters you want to modulate. Modulation is handled quite nicely in that you get two modulation ports per module. So too does the “hide wires” button because once you start patching they do tend to get in the way – but we like that! They’ve added a very handy “Quick Search” box for finding modules and adding them to your rack without having to search through the browser. The In and Out “ports” appear on either side of the module which helps in keeping the patch cables in order. This makes so much sense and connects you to Blocks in a much more intuitive and visually pleasing way. Sequencers, Utilities, VCAs, Envelopes, you can build an entire synth with sequencers just with the Free Pack.Reaktor 6.3 brings in the idea of a “Rack” and within a rack you can now patch the Blocks modules together from the front panel rather than dropping to the scary ensemble structure environment that still sits behind the scenes. Good luck and creative flow states to you mate, and if you really want to go DEEP on some Reaktor 6 Blocks, F-R-E-E-style, check out the ultra awesome “Free Pack” from Toybox Audio, which contains 44 essential blocks I use on the podcast all the time now. You can normally catch up to two annual sales, summer and winter, where you can get Komplete 12 for a comparable price.Īt any rate, if there’s one consistent thing about the dollar value of any and all software, is that it’s always gonna change. Now its a whopping $199 USD, and that’s if you pay full price not on sale. That being said, I’ve been a fan of Reaktor since Reaktor 5, when the price-point was out of my reach at $499 USD. After all, they are a group of people, with families, and girlfriends, and rent payments, and cats and puppies, and all that good stuff :-) Software companies the world over always look for opportunities to increase revenue, so they’ll re-package, re-brand, offer subscriptions, any strategy you can think of to bring money in. Regarding what’s “free”, and considered “paid” software, can be a bit convoluted at times. Yea mate, that’s true, that statement could probably be clarified to “if you own a previous version of Reaktor 6”. I hope this is helpful!įor more tips, blips, and inspiration with Reaktor, and other Komplete instruments, visit the podcast channel at - Have a fun-filled SUNDAY !!! This means you still need to purchase the BLOCKS PRIMES collection for it to be activated in your Native Access.įor quick reference, you can visit your account at, and view your products and serials there, to confirm if BLOCKS PRIMES is listed there as well. Since you just upgraded recently, this means you just purchased Reaktor for the first time I believe. So after I updated my Reaktor to version 6.3, the BLOCKS PRIMES collection was included in Native Access for me. This means that since I owned Reaktor prior to the 6.3 release, technically I already owned these blocks before NI repackaged and started charging for them. When I first purchased Reaktor, prior to the Reaktor 6.3 update, with Reaktor blocks in the new “Racks” format (supporting front-facing patching), the blocks included in what is now known as the BLOCKS PRIMES collection were already included in that version. So I’ve been a Reaktor owner for a couple of years now.
